About the Cell

The Entrepreneurship Development / Innovation & Start-Up Centre of St. Ann’s College for Women, Gorantla, Guntur, has been established to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity, and self-employment opportunities among students. The centre functions in alignment with the objectives of UGC, AICTE, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development initiatives, and NAAC quality enhancement practices.

The centre aims to nurture entrepreneurial mindset, leadership qualities, business skills, and innovative thinking among students through various academic, co-curricular, and skill development programmes. It motivates students to become job creators rather than job seekers by providing awareness on start-ups, business opportunities, innovation practices, and government support schemes.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell also promotes employability, financial literacy, business planning, and industry-oriented learning to empower students for professional and entrepreneurial success.

Functions of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell

The Entrepreneurship Development / Innovation & Start-Up Centre shall:

• Organize awareness programmes, workshops, seminars, FDPs, and training programmes on entrepreneurship and innovation
• Conduct add-on courses and certificate programmes related to entrepreneurship and start-up development
• Encourage students to develop innovative business ideas and projects
• Provide awareness on government schemes, funding agencies, and start-up support systems
• Facilitate interaction with entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry experts
• Promote financial literacy, leadership, and business management skills
• Conduct activities related to employability and skill development
• Encourage participation in innovation competitions, exhibitions, and entrepreneurship events
• Maintain records, reports, and documentation of all EDC activities
• Coordinate entrepreneurship initiatives in collaboration with IQAC and academic departments
